Dress Rehearsal Information:
All dancers should arrive to the theatre 30 minutes prior to their scheduled rehearsal time. Dancers should arrive in their costume with hair neatly off their face as well as have their correct footwear. Dancers should be dropped off at the stage door at the bottom of the ramp on the east side of the building and can be picked up at the same location after their rehearsal time is complete. It is mandatory for dancers to attend the dress rehearsal to allow each group practice on the stage before the show.

For the dress rehearsal schedule please click here.

Looking for Backstage Volunteers!

We need your support!
Being a parent volunteer is a great way to be involved in the show! We are looking for help backstage for various positions, if you are interested in volunteering, please keep pop in to the studio and sign up for a position.

Costumes, Hair & Stage Make Up Information:
Please take care of your costume and do not wear it prior to the show to prevent damages or lost items.

Hair is to be in a low ponytail with a center part. Hair should be securely placed and hairsprayed. This ponytail may also be secured into a tight bun with a hairnet. Please check with your teacher which of these two styles is being used.

If your child is in Pre-School Ballet, Pre-Primary Ballet or Primary Ballet, their hair will be in a high bun. If your child is in Creative Hip Hop, their hair will be in a high ponytail.

For detailed information regarding stage make up please click here.

Performance Day Information:
All dancers should arrive no later than 45 minutes prior to the start of show time of their particular performance(s). Friday evening and Saturday evening performers should arrive with hair and makeup ready to the theatre at: 6:15 p.m. and Saturday Matinee performers should arrive to the theatre with hair and make up ready at: 11:15 a.m.

Dancers should enter through the stage door at the bottom of the ramp on the east side of the building. Once each dancer has arrived at the theatre, they are not allowed to leave the backstage area until after the final curtain unless other arrangements have been made with their respective teacher(s). If permission has been granted, the dancers will need to sign their name and contact information on the stage door sign-out form as well as have an adult chaperone escort them. Similarly, if they are returning at a later time, they will also need to sign in again.

Young dancers, including preschoolers, should be dropped off at the theatre in their costumes (or the costume for their first number if in more then one dance during the performance) no later than 45 minutes before show time. All of the young children will be carefully supervised during the entire show by parent and student volunteers assigned specifically for that duty. Once they have finished performing, they have the option of sitting in the stage wings for the duration of the show or, if applicable, being picked up during intermission at the east stage door at the bottom of the ramp. You must have already made prior arrangements by signing up at drop off time with a backstage volunteer for picking up your child at intermission.

Food and Water Backstage:
The backstage experience during recitals is fun and exciting. It can also be long and tiring. Please ensure, therefore, that your son or daughter takes an ample supply of food and water with them to both the dress rehearsals and the recitals. Please note that dancers are required to cover up their costumes while eating or drinking, a zip up piece of clothing is ideal rather then putting clothing on and off their head with their stage hair and make up complete.
